Kath McDonnell- RGN, RCST Craniosacral Therapy
I have provided therapeutic care to people for over 30 years- first as a nurse and then also as a complementary therapist.
I am an avid enthusiast of Craniosacral Therapy (CST) and first experienced it as a client. I was so impressed with the profound benefit it had on my own health and wellbeing that I decided to train as a practitioner. I did my course with the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust in London, qualifying as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist in 2007. I now work in clinics across North & West Devon.
CST is a gentle, hands-on method of treatment that’s suitable for everyone- from babies to the elderly, and for women who are pregnant. People may come for treatment because they have acute physical problems like headaches or back pain, or longstanding problems both physical and emotional. It can also help support you at busy and stressful times in your life; preventing poor health developing.
Treatment is carried out with you fully dressed and in a relaxed position, lying on a treatment table. Light touch is applied to help your body release areas of restriction and tension, so improving overall physical and mental wellbeing. CST promotes your body’s natural ability to balance & heal itself, allowing illness to subside and energy levels to increase. Generally you would feel a deep sense of relaxation and calm during the treatment session and an increase in energy, clarity of mind and wellbeing after it.
I’m a member of the Craniosacral Therapy Association of the UK.
